Our mission

To promote the growth of beekeeping by attracting and encouraging novice and experienced beekeepers to share their knowledge of beekeeping;

To promote awareness, in the local community, of the importance of bees and the threats to bee populations

To play a part in stopping the decline of bee populations through:

* the provision of suitable nesting habitat – both natural and managed;

* protection of bees from pests, disease, environmental deprivation and other threats;

* whenever possible, the rehoming of bee swarms to suitable habitats

To encourage compliance with Biosecurity requirements and regulations in the prevention and control of bee diseases and pests

To harvest excess stores for human consumption
